Books and Charity Shop

Books galore!

The Durbanville Children’s Home raises funds through its quality book sales every Thursday morning from 10:00 till 13:00 and also on the first Saturday of every month from 09:00 till 14:00.

Book lovers and bargain hunters can stock up at very reasonable prices. There are books for children and adults in Afrikaans and English. Categories include cookery, crafts, gardening, study guides, classics, Africana, text books, encyclopedias and many more. Magazines titles vary monthly. Currently there is a large selection of National Geographic magazines. Puzzles, games & videos are available at give away prices.

If you are looking for a specific book, we will even try and source a copy for you.

Also, be sure to visit us for the R2 book sale every last Thursday of each month.

Donations of books in good condition are welcome. A library for the 144 children living at the Children’s Home is also stocked from these donations.

We hold a R2 book sale on the last Thursday of every month. This is an opportunity which is diarised early and people look forward to it. Good books are sold at good prices.

The R2 book sales take place from 10:00 – 17:00 every last Thursday of every month.
